About Me

"I don't want to influence others to want to be me, but rather to want to be the best version of themselves."
Kerry Ingram
Welcome to my website!
My name is Kerry and I’m a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogger based on the East Coast. I technically began my blogging journey while I was a teenager (those pieces of content were something else...!) but consider my true creator journey starting in college, and accelerating in 2020. Although I've always been into girly, hyperfeminine things, I didn't always express it as openly as I do now.
Having a very specific aesthetic, let alone it being full of pink/bows/glitter/frills etc. was NOT socially acceptable when I grew up. I always loved these #extra things, but I grew up in the overpriced-abercrombie-and-uggs era. Enough said.
I didn't feel comfortable fully expressing my style, nor did I grow up with the financial means to, and when I did do little things to express what I liked, I was always made fun of or questioned for it.
I didn't "dress black" enough.
I was "trying to be" everything that I wasn't.
I was interested in things that were "vast" and "unimportant."
Now that I'm an adult, I can clearly see how dumb it was to listen to any of that nonsense (I mean, if someone is more concerned about the bow in your hair instead of keeping up with their own crumbling life, it says way more about them than it does you!) but that doesn't take away from how difficult it can be to express yourself and your interests when no one around you seems to be doing the same.
And so, I started creating content around this narrative, especially liking hyperfeminine things as a Black and Puerto Rican woman, and I was overwhelmed with the amount of people who began to join my community with similar stories. I went online creating content to express myself, and unintentionally created a safe space for other girlies to fully embrace themselves and their style too.
Because of this, I decided to go back to my teen-blogger roots, and launch this website, Leandra (titled after my middle name ♡)
Leandra will serve as a landing page for the chic, hyperfeminine, and cool things I hope to provide my fellow girlies to live their best lives. You can explore my different content platforms, shop girly filters, download my soft-living ebook and more, straight from this site! You can also learn more and apply for Residency Reverie, my new UGC endeavor that I am launching this year!
Here's to living more authentically to who you are, embracing the hyperfeminine and soft life, and not listening to what anyone else has to say about it. We may be soft-life girlies, but that doesn't mean we can't also be strong too.
Feel free to reach out if you ever have questions or just want to connect! My contact info is at the bottom of each page - also feel free to subscribe to my newsletter for routine hyperfeminine updates that go beyond just what I do, and feature other creators and businesses in the community!
♡ Much Love ♡
Kerry
*P.S. There's debate online about the use of the term "femininity," especially when it comes to its historical context and use alongside women of color, so when I refer to "hyperfeminine," it's the coquette/stereotypical feminine aesthetic. I say it all the time but I'll say it again and louder for the people in the back - you don't have to be this version of femininity in order to be "feminine." It can look different AND be a different experience for everyone.
ALSO, just because you yourself haven't experienced something, doesn't mean that the experience does not exist.
Some women tear down others in my comments because they were never bullied for being feminine so they assume this is a made up issue - that line of thinking is illogical tbh! I'm always happy to hear when others didn't have to go through bullying to express themselves, but do not condone them invalidating the experience of others. ♡
